The Shelburne Fire District was officially formed in 1975 following years of work by local residents to enhance local fire protection efforts in "rural" Shelburne, Massachusetts. The District covers the entirety of the Town of Shelburne, with the exception of the Shelburne Falls "village" area. The village area's primary fire protection is provided by the Shelburne Falls Fire Department.
Shelburne Fire Department, some people also refer to us as the "Shelburne Center Fire Department" since our station is located in the geographic center of the Town, responds to approximately 175 fire, rescue and medical emergencies and other requests for assistance annually. In an emergency the best means to alert us is to dial 9-1-1 to reach our dispatchers. The business line at the dispatch center is (413)625-8200.
We're entirely staffed by volunteer firefighters who sign up, train and respond to help their community. Non-emergency messages can be made to (413)625-6796. Please understand that since we are not staffed full-time your message will be returned as soon as we can.

Welcome to the new web page for the Shelburne Fire Department. Our goal is to provide useful information about the department, fire safety education, and the community. I'm pleased we have a great group of professional volunteers and we invite you to join us. We're still building out the site so let us know what you'd like to see.
